The City West Sustainable Solutions Showcase will be a new event for 2008 and aims to demonstrate techniques, technologies and simple tips to reduce your ecological footprint and help ensure a sustainable future.

“Sustainability and how to achieve it” will be a key theme of this event which will bring local people, visitors and organizations that promote ways to reduce the environmental impact of modern life together to demonstrate the possibilities of a healthier future.

Whilst awareness of issues surrounding reducing greenhouse gas production and general sustainable living are recognized as important to many people, it is also true that many people are uncertain of the ways and means of doing so. This event seeks to bridge that gap.

Hobsons Bay has a unique and beautiful natural environment. Local people are aware of the fragile balance of living on a coastal fringe where people and the environment mix.

This is an opportunity for local groups within Hobsons Bay to spread the word about what initiatives they have or are undertaking to be a little greener.
